Preventive Maintenance

As the name implies, preventive maintenance, refers to performing proactive maintenance services for the purpose of preventing system problems to avoid downtime and optimize productivity. Same as we do to our cars for engine oil change, filter change and tyre check. We do not do it to respond the break-down situation, normally. We do it to prevent abnormal wear & tare of car engine, as well as to save ourselves from car break-down, on the road.

Some benefits of performing preventive maintenance for your networked systems and computers are:

  1. Saves Your Money: Keeping your systems free from problem as much as possible can make them last longer. That increases hardware life cycle and minimize the repair cost.
  2. Saves Your Time: The less you face the problem with your computer, which is a daily working device, the more you save time. Consider repairing time and down-time can drastically eat up your time.
  3. Saves Your Valuable Data: For most of us, the data stored on the hard disk is much more important than the hardware that holds it. Accidental break-down of hardware is unavoidable. But it shows signs and symptoms, before it goes bad. Preventive Maintenance can make you notice this, in most cases.
  4. Improves Your Productivity: Degrading performance over time is unavoidable for computer parts. But Preventive Maintenance can help you squeeze the best performance out of well maintained hardware pieces to achieve the best possible productivity.

Some of the tasks we perform for preventive maintenance are:

  1. File system error check and repair
  2. Hardware error check and repair
  3. Virus scanning and fixing
  4. Performing disk defragmentation
  5. Disk imaging for critical systems, such as servers
  6. Health checks for networking devices, such as switches, routers, firewalls
  7. Health checks for backup systems, such as tape backup systems
  8. Network operation error check and repair
  9. Power and Air-conditioning system checks

We deploy “scheduling” to make sure your network system is being treated for preventive maintenance, regularly. When we visit to your site for routine check, we perform log checking and error fixing for scheduled systems.
